The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is a test that is used to evaluate people's English-language abilities and then assign them a score based on their performance. In the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, the IELTS tests are widely acknowledged by universities and other authoritative authorities. This standardised test is designed specifically for non-native English speakers to assess their English skills. Candidates are graded on a scale of 1 to 9 after the test. And it is stated that any score between 6 and 9 qualifies you to apply to the institutions of your choice. In this blog, we will discuss how to send IELTS score to universities.
The Process Route To Sending IELTS Score
IELTS results or band scores are announced within/after 13 days of the test, according to the established requirements. Candidates can view their scores online, and they will also be delivered to your registered email address. The Test Report Form is a well-known name for the IELTS results (or TRF). After you've gotten your results, you can either repeat the exam if you didn't obtain the expected score or start sending your IELTS score to universities if you got a good band score. However, there is a procedure to follow if you opt for the latter option:
Settle on universities
Begin by conducting extensive research on the colleges to which you wish to apply, compiling a list of all of their prerequisites, such as IELTS score expectations or whether they accept IELTS scores, and so on. In addition, you will receive an IELTS TRF in the mail, and you will be eligible for five further TRFs to send your IELTS score to colleges. If you wish to apply to other colleges, you'll have to obtain more TRFs, which will cost you more money and come up with some terms and conditions that you can negotiate with the authority.
Send in a request
According to the IELTS standard set of guidelines, you must submit a request to distribute your IELTS result to colleges in one of two methods. The first is to request it when you register for the test, and the second is to request it when the results are out. In the first situation, you must input the university names and addresses when booking your test centre on the website, however, in the second case, you can request that the results that you believe will be useful be sent in.
Figure out the delivery route
When it comes to sending IELTS scores to institutions, you have two options: transmit an electronic report or deliver a paper TRF. However, you must be certain of whatever way your ideal university prefers for receiving scores before making this option. If you prefer to send in paper TRFs, there will be an additional cost, however, this method is highly advised to ensure shipping tracking.
Set forth and pay
To complete the process, simply click "Submit" and complete the payment for your request. Your score will reach the individual universities in five business days via electronic transmission, and between five and ten business days by paper/courier delivery.
