Cheapest Countries To Study Abroad

While studying abroad is an incredible experience and a significant achievement, it is often prohibitively expensive.

Even though there are many ways to save money while studying abroad or even earn some extra cash working part-time, earning a degree abroad is still expensive.

Studying abroad doesn't have to be expensive.

In this blog, we will discuss the cheapest countries to study abroad. So, let’s get started.

Top cheapest countries to study abroad

Thailand

Average yearly tuition fees: $3.000-$4.000

Average living costs: $400-$450 per month

The low cost of services and products in Thailand has led to Thailand being called the "haven of affordable travel".

The large number of backpackers who visit Thailand to see its outstanding attractions attests to the affordability of this country.

Vietnam

Average yearly tuition fees: $1.000-$2.000

Average living costs: $300-$400 per month

There is much to see and do in Vietnam, which makes it one of the world's fastest-growing tourist destinations.

Thailand and Vietnam aren't well known as study abroad destinations.

The stunning scenery, low living costs, and up-and-coming universities will entice more students to the area.

Malaysia

Average yearly tuition fees: $2.500- $3.500

Average living costs: $400-$450

For international students, Malaysia is one of the most cost-effective destinations.

Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, is a vibrant, bustling city that is also home to many international students.

QS named Kuala Lumpur the best city for international students in 2016.

Tuition costs for most programs are around $3.000, but some are even cheaper.

Taiwan

Average yearly tuition fees: $2.000-$3.000

Average living costs: $500-$600 per month

Taiwan is one of the most popular destinations for international students in Asia, but it continues to attract even more students.

Taiwan offers excellent value for money when all factors are considered, despite not being as inexpensive as some other countries on this list.

South Africa

Average yearly tuition fees: $2.000-$3.000

Average living costs: $600-$700 per month

Students who are open-minded and want to study abroad will find South Africa to be a great choice due to its diverse cultures and fascinating life.

In comparison with other western countries, South Africa has relatively low living and educational costs, despite being Africa's most developed country.

India

Average yearly tuition fees: $2.000-$4.000

Average living costs: $400-$450 per month

I debated adding India to the list, primarily because adjusting to life as an expat in India may be challenging, and not everyone can do it.

Street food tours, seeing the Taj Mahal, and seeing a few other iconic sights are great, but living in India is a completely different experience.

Because of that, most tourists either love it or hate it, there is no middle ground.

Germany

Average yearly tuition fees: free (in most public universities)

Average living costs: $700-$800 per month

The cost of living in Germany is higher than in some of the other countries on this list.

In public universities, if you enroll in a course, you must follow this rule.

There will be no tuition fees (for undergraduates and PhDs).
